Frequently asked questions
Do you ship outside Sweden?
No. At the moment we only ship orders inside Sweden.
How much Aloe Vera is adequate in an Aloe Vera-product?
Unfortunately there is no standard on how much Aloe Vera an Aloe Vera-product should contain. "Aloe Vera-products" is just a term for products containing Aloe Vera even if the amount in many cases is almost nothing. There are many examples of companies using "the good name of Aloe Vera" as a sales-argument. Atthe other end of the scale there are companies who specializes in Aloe Vera has a lot of knowledge and experience.
In general one should look for products with a minimum amount of 20 % Aloe Vera in order to have benefits for the skin. For woundhealing or soothing effects on skinirritations we recommend products with a minimum of 90 % Aloe Vera - or to break a leaf directly from the plant!
How can a product contain 100 % Aloe Vera when it also contains preservatives?
Some products are produced from a concentration of Aloe Vera that is stronger than 100 %, f. ex. 10 or 40 times. This is possible because "100 % Aloe Vera" is defined as the Aloe Vera-plant, which mostly contains water. (Like a cucumber) Through special procedures it is possible to take away some of this water and make these concentrations without jeopardising the quality of the raw material. One can then add preservatives and water again to make 100% Aloe Vera products. What is the difference between Aloe Gel and Aloe Juice?
The difference in Sweden is just in the language. In the USA they call the Aloe Vera that is derived from the leaf filé "gel", due to its gel-like consistency. "Gel" is in this case the term of the raw material. It is then up to the individual producer to call the finished, product "juice" or "gel". Both terms are used. How much Aloe Vera-juice should I drink?
According to recommendations from litterature and different Aloe Vera producers around the world, a satisfactory daily dosis of 100 % juice lies between 30 och 120 ml for an adult. Sascos recommendation is 60 ml per day, divided between morning and evening. This recommendation is based on information from our producers of Aloe Vera and from the experience of our customers. Can I use your products if I am pregnant or breastfeeding?
This is a common and important question We do not recommend that pregnant women use products for internal use: dietary supplements and Aloe Vera Juice. This is due to the simple fact that we apply the principal of caution that should always be accounted for when it comes to nature-products.To be sure, contact your doctor. The muscle cream Aloe Rub should not be used either as it is very strong and penetrates deep.
On the other hand it is totally ok to use the other products for body- and skin care as for example Aloe Vera Jelly.
Why isn´t SASCO´s products marked with the certificate from IASC?
It is due only because of the routines of the IASC. Sasco fulfills the demands of IASC when it comes to rawmaterial and production, as the barrels of rawmaterial-Aloe Vera that we import has the IASC seal on them. Marking every finished product with this seal would increase the prices considerably because of the routines of the IASC. Our products are among the best the market has to offer. If we in the future choose to buy the seal, it will not change the quality of our products.
What is the difference between whole leaf- and inner leaf Aloe vera?
The whole leaf Aloe Vera is made from the whole leaf, as the inner leaf - is made from the inner filé inside the leaf. The difference is that the outer leaf cintains the yellow sap with antrakinoner that have a laxerande effect.
